Doyin Okupe stated this while reacting to the statement released by the EFCC today in which he was alleged to have received over N700m from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuku.

The EFCC on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, opened its case against a former Senior Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe.

Okupe is being prosecuted before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja for allegedly collecting money from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA for ”doing nothing”.

He was arraigned on a 59-count charge bordering on money laundering, criminal diversion of funds to the tune of N702,000,000 (Seven Hundred and Two Million Naira) only.

In a post shared on his Twitter handle this morning, Okupe said the claims made against him in the statement are untrue and was never included in the court papers that have been filed against him. He wrote;
